With her experience as a fashion consultant, Amy is very familiar with what colors work best together. It will cost you nothing for her to put together the perfect flower combination for you and the right colored pot to compliment it. She will offer you her expertise and artful eye.
Amy Golden opened up her door on November 25th, 2017, the day before Thanksgiving and I was there taking photos. She was selling Christmas trees and beautiful wreaths she had made herself. She had created a welcoming family atmosphere, and everyone was lending a helping hand. Even her two younger nephews were helping that day.
Customers were assisted in finding the perfect Christmas tree and not only did they find what they were looking for, they experienced a wonderful memory that their children will never forget. Amy had rented a sleigh and had Santa Claus come in on a firetruck. The smiles on the children's faces were priceless!
From that point I knew Golden Grove Greenhouse was more than just another greenhouse. It was a place that brought joy to everyone who entered. Just being welcomed by Amy's warm smile and her adorable daughter offered an experience like no other. She is there to help and create gorgeous pieces for her customers. She's the definition of service with a smile.
Interview with Amy:
I asked Amy what was her motivation for starting a business and she told me that she would love to have something to hand down to her daughter. Her young daughter Juliana helps Amy which results in mother-daughter quality time. This is something extremely important to Amy. She has amazing family values and loves that she gets to spend more time with her daughter.
Why did she choose this type of business? It offered her flexibility due to the seasonal aspect of it. Which again meant more family quality time for her. She also loves the experience that it offers to customers. Looking at plants, flowers, and Christmas trees bring memories and joy to people. She sees families come in and share special moments.
